Rachael Carrick
Registered Psychologist
Rachael is an experienced Registered Psychologist who works with adolescents and adults across a broad range of presentations. She has over five years of post-registration experience and has worked across private practice, inpatient and community mental health, forensic services, disability, and group therapy settings, supporting clients with both acute and longstanding psychological difficulties.
Rachael has extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, eating disorders, body image concerns, neurodivergence, intellectual disability, severe mental illness, and personality vulnerabilities. Her work across public and private settings has strengthened her skills in assessment, case formulation, risk management, multidisciplinary collaboration, and developing strong therapeutic relationships with clients experiencing complex presentations.
A particular area of professional interest for Rachael is trauma-focused therapy. Through her work across inpatient, community, forensic, and private practice settings, she has developed a strong understanding of the impact of trauma, attachment disruptions, adverse life experiences, and relationship difficulties on psychological wellbeing and identity. She is passionate about supporting clients to build insight, safety, resilience, and lasting change.
